An injury sustained during combat with a Shadow holds him back for a little while, but ever eager to get back into the ring, he soon recovers and returns to his place on the front lines.

Two of these residents are Social Links, and failing to rescue them will prevent you from spending time with them the rest of the playthrough. If the Social Link has already been maxed beforehand, then they won't appear during the epilogue.

You will receive a variety of messages throughout the game. Some of these will be story related, while others will post reminders on when certain Social Links, Linked Episodes and jobs are available. You can use these messages to teleport directly to that location.

This is where building Social Links becomes a crucial part of the gameplay loop. Social Links can provide bonuses allowing you to instantly level up Personas when fusing them in the Velvet Room or unlock new recipes to create powerful Personas you won’t find from destroying Shadows.

The soundtrack is just as incredible to listen to as ever – providing a relaxing atmosphere during calm moments, tension and dread during serious moments, and blood-pumping excitement during boss battles. Though it's based on Persona 5's Showtime, Theurgy attacks require heightened emotional states and have special conditions personalized to each character to activate, so it takes more strategy to pull off. I didn't spend enough time grinding in Tartarus to get to everyone's moves, but from what I did see, the persona 3 reload gameplay results are devastating for the enemy.

When all enemies on the battle screen are knocked Down as with the original game, the party is given the option to initiate an "All-Out Attack" that involves all active members performing a joint assault on any remaining enemies for significant damage. Depending on who in the party starts the command, the character will have a personalized outro and unique animation, in a similar vein to the finisher screens in Persona 5. You can save anywhere you like except for in dungeons. When in a dungeon, you can only save at the entrance or in certain areas. There are 15 save slots to use.

Mechanics and user interfaces have been brushed up along with fine tuning of the game to improve the player experience.

Along with showcasing more of the P3 remake's updated gameplay that's more in line with Persona 5's when battling Shadows, this latest peek into Persona 3 Reload also shows off a brand new BGM track that makes the game feel even more revamped. 

And just like watching each of them take an Evoker shot straight to the dome to cast spells, I never got tired of seeing my party’s personas shatter their portrait cutouts when hitting a weakness.
